EVILE guitarist, Ol Drake has been keeping a regular tour blog on HailsAndHorns.com. In the latest entry, Ol tells the tale of the band facing their toughest challenge yet. Enter "The Beast Of Kansas City":
"We arrive at the venue and we're told there's a backstage. I immediately set up my laptop to continue writing. There are Rock Band controllers, N64 pads scattered around the TV. Everyone scrambles to find power for the TV. Whilst doing so, Matt shouts, "what the fuck was that?" and jumps up. Ben says he saw a spider, but Matt insists it was too large to be a spider. It's seen one more time and gives a slight pounce towards Matt, which fills his diaper."
To find out what it was and if EVILE survived the encounter, go to http://www.hailsandhorns.com/featured/evile-tour-diary-entry-6/

British thrashers EVILE are the featured cover stars in the new issue of UK extreme music magazine Terrorizer (issue #203), available in stores now. View the cover of the new Terrorizer magazine, featuring EVILE, at http://earacherecords.com/myspace/evile_terrorizer203.jpg
INFECTED NATIONS, the ripping 2009 album from British thrashers EVILE, has been re-released as a special redux version and is available now in North America. The follow-up to EVILE's debut album, ENTER THE GRAVE, INFECTED NATIONS sees the band finding a new level of maturity and songwriting craftsmanship, creating a heavier thrash sound with even more infectious riffs to headbang to.
On top of the nine album tracks, the INFECTED NATIONS Redux also features a bonus disc with EVILE's popular cover of PANTERA's "Cemetery Gates", as well as eight songs recorded at a live rehearsal in the studio and six songs recorded live at Hammerfest in 2009.

Canadian melodic thrash metal pioneers ANNIHILATOR escaped a large fire on Wednesday night, shortly after playing to a packed house in Nottingham, England whilst on their European headlining tour.

Canadian heavy metallers CAULDRON have released a brand new track on the band's revamped MySpace page.

OCEANO - 'CONTAGION' DEBUTS IN THE BILLBOARD TOP 200
OCEANO's new album, CONTAGION sold 2,955 copies in its first week of release, landing the Chicago deathcore heavyweights at number 163 on the Billboard Top 200. The band also debuted on the Billboard Heatseekers chart at number 3. This is a tremendous achievement for the young band and only cements their role as a legitimate force in the metal world. "We're excited to have made the charts;" says OCEANO's formidable frontman, Adam Warren. "We also know that this or any other success we've faced would have been possible without the support of our loyal fans and listeners. Thanks a lot and we'll catch you on tour."
OCEANO's highly anticipated sophomore release, CONTAGION is now out in North America. Produced by Zeuss (MUNICIPAL WASTE, THE ACACIA STRAIN, HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL), the new album is about a government-born virus that becomes an epidemic and spreads chaos amongst the population. CONTAGION is a major step forward for OCEANO. Their signature breakdowns and inhuman heaviness is still intact, but the band's traditional death metal influence now shines through more than ever, leading to a stronger melding of old school and modern extremities.
Buy CONTAGION along with several special mercy packs at the EARACHE US WEBSTORE: http://earache.com/uswebstore/index.php/cPath/667_672_698
OCEANO's brand new sophomore album CONTAGION is making huge strides just over a week into release. OCEANO have debuted their newest video for the CONTAGION track, "Weaponized." This is the band's first video from their new, Billboard charting release and it was directed by Kevin J. Custer (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED, TOMBS). The band has posted the following comment:

OCEANO'S "WEAPONIZED" MAKES NORTH AMERICAN TV DEBUT ON TONIGHT'S MTV HEADBANGERS BALL
OCEANO's brand new video for the song "Weaponized" will make its North American TV debut tonight on tonight's edition of MTV Headbangers Ball. "Weaponized" is the band's first video from their new release, CONTAGION and it was directed by Kevin J. Custer (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED, TOMBS). The video features explosive performance footage of the Chicago deathcore heavyweights acting as a counterpoint to a high tension situation that builds throughout the video. Watch "Weaponized" along with another EARACHE favorite, MUNICIPAL WASTE's "Sadistic Magician" on MTV Headbangers Ball tonight at 3 AM EST/PST.

OCEANO HITS NUMBER 40 ON ITUNES OVERALL ROCK CHART
OCEANO HITS NUMBER 40 ON ITUNES OVERALL ROCK CHART
OCEANO's brand new sophomore album CONTAGION is making huge strides less than a week into release. Due to a combination of fan fervor, a $7.99 value price point and a bonus demo track that can't be found anywhere else, the album has risen through the ranks on iTunes' overall rock chart. Earlier this afternoon, CONTAGION's peak rank was charted at 40 (as seen in this picture: http://earacherecords.com/myspace/contagion_itunesrockchart.jpg). OCEANO's new release was positioned next to such noted bands as LED ZEPPELIN, STONE SOUR and GWAR. With a continued buzz on the album and a string of sold out shows to promote it across the country, there's no telling how high OCEANO's final peak charting will go.
Fans who get the album on iTunes will receive an exclusive bonus demo track not available anywhere else. Purchase CONTAGION now on iTunes with the exclusive bonus track at http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/contagion/id395335661

OCEANO CONGRATULATES IPAD CONTEST WINNER
On November 9th, the release date of OCEANO's highly anticipated sophomore release, CONTAGION, the band's iPad contest officially came to a close. Fans who pre-ordered CONTAGION through the EARACHE US WEBSTORE were automatically entered into a drawing to win an iPad and a meet and greet with the band. On November 10th, a winner was chosen -- Beck Byler of San Antonio, TX. On behalf of OCEANO, EARACHE RECORDS congratulates Beck for his support of the band. We hope he enjoys his iPad as well as his upcoming OCEANO meet and greet.

ENFORCER INVOLVED IN BUS CRASH IN SWEDEN
Swedish heavy metallers ENFORCER have been involved in a serious bus crash while on tour in their homeland.
The band, who are on tour in Europe supporting Australian hard rockers AIRBOURNE, were travelling from Oslo to Stockholm in a snowstorm at around 3:00am on the morning of 10th November and were near their hometown of Arvika when their vehicle skidded on ice, crossed over to the other side of the road and experienced a head-on collision with a snow-plough.
ENFORCER guitarists ADAM ZAARS and JOSEPH THOLL, bassist TOBIAS LINDQVIST and the band's driver were battered and bruised, but miraculously all survived the crash with only minor injuries. A county police officer at the scene said, "They had a guardian angel".
The band's vehicle was destroyed in the accident, but their equipment, which was in a trailer attached to the vehicle, was luckily unscathed. ENFORCER frontman OLOF WIKSTRAND and drummer JONAS WIKSTRAND were travelling in a separate car at the time and were not involved in the crash.
The band have regretfully been forced to cancel their appearances tonight in Sweden and on the 12th and 13th November in Finland and will be using the time to recuperate and recover from the nerve-wracking incident. They will resume the tour on 16th November in Berlin, Germany.
ENFORCER have posted the following comment:
"We're all alive and well but we're really sorry to cancel the gigs in Stockholm, Tampere and Helsinki. We're working really hard to get back on the road again soon!"

OCEANO GUITARIST SHOWS OFF HIS 'CONTAGION' TATTOO
An earlier story mentioned that OCEANO is honored to put ink to skin and sign their fans should they request it. Guitarist, Devin Shidaker took it to the next level by getting his hand tattooed with the character from the cover of the band's newly released album, CONTAGION. What happens when an OCEANO member turns the tables on themselves? Let Devin himself tell the tale:
"During some down time at home, I decided I wanted a new tattoo to symbolize my love for this band and my confidence in the album. I wanted it to be somewhere where I would never forget about it so an idea came about from my tattoo artist Brandon Blevins. He suggested that I get it done onmy hand. After a bit of talking, we sat down and hammered it out. Now I have a beautiful piece of art to add to my permanent collection!"
Check out Devin's CONTAGION tattoo here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_la8yzlLNFb1qzcx1po1_1280.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=0RYTHV9YYQ4W5Q3HQMG2&Expires=1289431802&Signature=tzsZq8mdHRECFUGlRF8XP9ustys%3D

OCEANO - "CONTAGION" COMES OUT IN NORTH AMERICA TOMORROW
OCEANO's highly anticipated sophomore release, CONTAGION comes out in North America tomorrow.
TheNewReview.net calls CONTAGION "Forty-minutes of unabridged pissed-off decimation that's as unstoppable as a hurricane."
Decibel magazine says "The songs are a push forward."
Metal Army America says "The band has not succumbed to the sophomore slump that is so prevalent in today's scene."
CONTAGION track listing:
01. Precursor To Enslavement
02. Viral Re-Animation
03. Regulated Disposal Of Life
04. Quarantine
05. The Contaminated
06. Exist In Confinement

OCEANO DEBUTS NEW VIDEO FOR "WEAPONIZED"
OCEANO have debuted their newest video for the CONTAGION track, "Weaponized." This is the band's first video from their upcoming November 9th release and it was directed by Kevin J. Custer (TESTAMENT, HATEBREED, TOMBS, JUSTIN BIEBER). The video features explosive performance footage of the Chicago deathcore heavyweights acting as a counterpoint to a high tension situation that builds throughout the video.
Everyone involved in the making of the video put a lot of hard work into it. OCEANO frontman, Adam Warren recalls the shoot and is excited about how everything came together. "It was a very good shoot. It was put together quickly and efficiently. We had a very professional group of people working with us and they really did a good job of creating a visual experience to tie in with the story and overall themes for both the song as well as the album."

OCEANO HONORED BY FANS WHO ASK THEM TO SIGN THEIR BODY
The average person doesn't know what it's like to put their signature on someone else's body, but for the majority of touring acts, it isa nightly occurrence. After an encounter with a fan in a tattoo shop who asked for OCEANO vocalist Adam Warren's signature to be signed and then tattooed onto his arm, the formidable frontman began looking upon the act of signing their fans as a high honor.
"It's always an odd occurrence having someone ask you to sign a limb or other random part of their body, but after being exposed to it for a bit, I've taken it as an amazing gesture" says Adam. "To me, it says "Hey! I love your band so much that I'm down with having your shitty scribble on my body."
Come see OCEANO on their upcoming Contagion Across The Nation tour and get your flesh signed by the Chicago deathcore heavyweights themselves:

LAWNMOWER DETH TO PLAY AT UK'S DAMNATION FESTIVAL
British madcap thrashers LAWNMOWER DETH have been confirmed to play at this year's Damnation Festival in the UK.
LAWNMOWER DETH reunited in 2008 and have since performed at the notorious Download festival in both 2009 and 2010.
Damnation Festival takes place in Leeds, UK on Saturday, 6th November, where LAWNMOWER DETH will be playing on the Jagermeister Stage at 16:35.
LAWNMOWER DETH vocalist PETE LEE comments:
"Who said irony was wasted on us? How often can you fit 'Lawnmower Deth', 'enigmatic', 'the most tuneful band of the day' and 'complete lack of panda make-up' into one sentence?
"How chuffed are we to be entering the Dalmation Festival. We shall of course be looking forward to taking 'Best in Show' at this illustrious canine fest. We're particularly excited about going head-to-head with Paradise Lost in the agility sections."

THE BOY WILL DROWN POST END-OF-TOUR REPORT
British technical death metallers THE BOY WILL DROWN have just completed a headlining tour of Europe.
The band played throughout mainland Europe and the UK with support from the likes of FORGETTOFORGIVE and ERADICATION, and are now having a break before heading back out on the road for another European tour in January.
THE BOY WILL DROWN bassist JAMES BATES looks back on the tour:
"It has been almost a month of touring and what an experience it has been - three amazing bands each leg and lots of places.
"29th September - 8th October; It was great touring with the 'Heights' guys to kick start it off with gigs in Edinburgh and Grimsby, which were particularly memorable, encountering our first fan with a TBWD tattoo (photos on our social networking sites). These boys are awesome and will no doubt go on to big things. Writing this email about the start of the tour seems such a long time ago now.
"9th October - 18th October; Touring round mainland Europe to Holland, Italy, Austria and Belgium (with a lil visit to Switzerland in between) was absolutely incredible - the gigs we've done and sights we've seen will never be forgotten. The 'Forgettoforgive' guys are possibly some of the nicest, most dedicated guys we've ever met and having the opportunity to take our good friend Ryan Mason (from Ryan Mason Imaging) to document and help out was a real pleasure. Tour highlights have been uploaded to our Tumblr (http://tbwd.tumblr.com) by Ryan and it's amazing. You should all check it out. More videos and photos will be coming from him soon.
"20th October - 26th October; The final leg of the tour was with 'Eradication'. This band is incredibly talented, nailed every show and is the funniest group of individuals we've ever had the pleasure to encounter. Such memorable scenarios include Nick (bass player) cutting off his wonderful ginger locks, Adam (drummer) and his Primark all-in-one PJs dancing in a Newcastle club, a variety of South Park quotes and other drunken beer-bong shenanigans mixed with some tomfoolery.
"We've had an amazing time and can't wait to get back on the road again!"

EVILE - TERRORIZER MAGAZINE'S NEWEST COVER STARS
British thrashers EVILE are the featured cover stars in the new issue of UK extreme music magazine Terrorizer (issue #203), available in shops this Thursday, 4th November.
Following the band for three shows in Texas last month at the beginning of their epic three-month tour of the USA, Terrorizer documents the band's progress in the past year since the tragic passing of their bassist MIKE ALEXANDER and looks at how they've retained their sincere and humble outlook in the face of difficulties and heartbreak.
View the cover of the new Terrorizer magazine, featuring EVILE, at http://earacherecords.com/myspace/evile_terrorizer203.jpg
EVILE lead guitarist OL DRAKE discusses the cover feature:
"We can't express how excited and honoured we are to be featured on the cover of the new Terrorizer magazine. We love the mag and the people who work (very hard) on it, so we're over the moon and ecstatic. Check out the new Terrorizer for tour stories, inside scoops and general random crap about Evile!"
Terrorizer magazine Editor LOUISE BROWN comments:
"This is not a story of a band turning their back on the UK for America's rock star circuit of endorsed tours and red carpet parties. This is the story of Evile, England's most humble and hard-working band, for whom a headline tour of America beggars belief."
