SAVAGE MESSIAH RELEASE ADVANCE TRACK FROM NEW ALBUM
British thrashers SAVAGE MESSIAH, who are preparing to kick off a UK tour with their labelmates EVILE, have released an advance mix of a brand new song, which is taken from the band's forthcoming new album.
The new track, titled "The Accuser", is the first glimpse of SAVAGE MESSIAH's new album, which is due to be released on Earache Records in early 2012. The album is being recorded with producer SCOTT ATKINS at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England.
Listen to the new track now at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xmxOGFUwx8
SAVAGE MESSIAH frontman DAVID SILVER comments:
"As we're heading off on tour this week, we thought it'd be cool to preview an advanced mix from the new record. We chose 'The Accuser' to be the first song we'd release, because it's the fastest, most aggressive song we've ever done, and one we look forward to playing live on the upcoming tour!! There's tons of variety of this album, but this is a good indication of where we're at right now as a band. We hope you enjoy headbanging to this slab of screaming heavy metal!!! See you on the road!"

RIVAL SONS NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH EVANESCENCE STARTS TONIGHT
Californian blues-rockers RIVAL SONS are due to kick off a North American tour tonight, Monday, October 10th, with EVANESCENCE.
The tour begins at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California and will see RIVAL SONS rocking their way across the USA and Canada for three weeks, before the band returns to Europe in November for a headlining tour.
RIVAL SONS guitarist SCOTT HOLIDAY previously commented:
"We're stoked to be touring across America and into Canada this October with Evanescence. Very happy to be invited by them. Between Evanescence, Pretty Reckless and us, the bill is pretty well diversified and will definitely give us the chance to play to a new demographic of rock fans, which we're always thriving for. We've also been so busy in Europe for most of this year, this tour will give us the opportunity to bring our rock 'n' roll back to fans we've been missing here in the States.
"We will return to Europe immediately at the end of this tour, so if you want to catch us in the USA, this will probably be your last chance in 2011! Rest assured, we will definitely be back in 2012... Super duper, mega full-force!"

WOODS OF YPRES FRONTMAN DISCUSSES FORTHCOMING NEW ALBUM, PART 1
Canadian blackened doom metallers WOODS OF YPRES have recently finished recording their forthcoming new album, WOODS 5: GREY SKIES & ELECTRIC LIGHT at Beach Road Studios in Ontario, Canada, with producer SIEGFRIED MEIER.
WOODS OF YPRES' frontman, DAVID GOLD, took some time to discuss a new era for the band as they prepare for their first new album since signing to Earache Records:
"W4: 'The Green Album' was the first true WOODS OF YPRES album, the three before it were prequels, W5: 'Grey Skies & Electric Light' is the sequel and Woods 4.5: 'You Were the Light' was the preview before the sequel. However, unlike the movies, this W5 sequel is the best one yet! Drawing inspiration and influence from some of our favourite albums, the best of the WOODS OF YPRES sound was created, selected, refined and perfected into our best self-contained, stand-alone songs to date, while still maintaining the flow of an ongoing concept as a WoY album should, however, with less art, less expressionism and more of what you want when you want it.
"W5 is a tighter, more effective WOODS OF YPRES for a broader audience of listeners young and old, new and loyal. A satisfying 'press play and drive' kind of album drawing the best from old Woods, current Woods and the Woods yet to come on what will be a milestone album, our sixth in less than 10 years and nearing the 10th anniversary of the founding of the band. We've never sounded better and we'd never been fully satisfied with any recording, until now.
"10 songs, just as much about modern life as death, existence, society, the forest, the city, hurt and love. Story wise, picking up where Woods 4 and 4.5 left off, sound wise evoking the feelings of Woods I: 'Against the Seasons - Cold Winter Songs from the Dead Summer Heat' and Woods III: 'Deepest Roots & Darkest Blues' with modern and futuristic tweaks. There is black metal, there is doom, there are ballads, there is pop, guitar solos, double bass, blasts, techno, dark humour, irony, reality, harmonies, uplifting hope to get you through the moment and crushing, irreversible sadness. I count a total of 7 genres in 10 songs. It's a new WOODS OF YPRES album and I can't wait wait for you to hear it!"

GAMA BOMB EUROPEAN HEADLINING TOUR STARTS TOMORROW
Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB are due to kick off a headlining European tour tomorrow, Friday, October 7th, in Venlo in the Netherlands.
Having just completed a UK tour supporting British thrash legends ONSLAUGHT, GAMA BOMB are now preparing to lead the charge into Europe for the two week headlining trek, with support from British thrashers SWORN AMONGST.

Before we go we'll be doing one more turn around Europe, including shows in a lot of places we've never visited before. We'll be back some time next year, but we don't know when - so get your ass out and come to see us before we disappear up our own arses."

THE BROWNING DISCUSS BAND'S NAME, MUSICAL DIRECTION AND MORE IN NEW INTERVIEW
Texan electronic metallers THE BROWNING are preparing for the worldwide release of their highly-anticipated debut album, BURN THIS WORLD, next week.
Frontman JONNY MCBEE took part in an interview with the band's record label, Earache Records, ahead of the album's release to shed some light on THE BROWNING's much-discussed band name, their musical direction, lyrical approach and more.
Earache: Please explain the band name, its meaning and how you got the idea.
JONNY: The Browning was a pretty random name. But we got it from the major weapons manufacturer, Browning. We love the name because it stands out from the pack and sticks in peoples heads, whether they think it's dumb or awesome!
Earache: Talking about the music, would you say that you put classic metal music one step further towards its grave?
JONNY: I would say we are doing the opposite. We are only one band of thousands. There are plenty of bands still playing the normal metal sound. Music needs to expand at some point and that is our purpose as a band - to take metal to a place it has yet to be.
Earache: There have, of course, already been some bands mixing metal with electronic sounds, but how did it come to be that your electronic influences sound that much more "European"?
JONNY: Throughout my life I have gone through many musical changes. I went through a huge European hardstyle phase (which I am still in). I love the aggression and melodies that is put into that style of dance music and figured metal and hardstyle would fit perfectly together. People like Headhunterz and Donkey Rollers will always be a huge influence on this band.
Earache: Do you want to provoke metal fans, or is it purely about combining your favourite musical styles into a new fusion of sound?
JONNY: The previous answer touches on this. But we would like for people who have never really been into synths to listen to our music, and learn to love them! We combine our favourite aspects of metal and techno into one. Heavy breakdowns and constant double bass, with catchy synths and hard-hitting techno parts.
Earache: How would you describe your live situation? There must be more metal fans than dance music fans; how do they react to the music?
JONNY: We always have huge mosh pits, lots of dancing, clapping, bouncing, everything! It is a ton of fun because our set is filled with energy! We can't wait to go to Europe and pull the big dance crowds as well!
Earache: What can you say about the lyrical side of The Browning?
JONNY: Our lyrics are typically motivational and inspiring. We have the dark, negative sound to almost all of our music, but there is always underlying positive inspiration!
Earache: What are the future plans for The Browning?
JONNY: I feel with our sound, our live performance, and everything we have going for us, we will take this genre to the next level. I think we will see this style of music get really popular and we will open peoples minds to electronics!
BURN THIS WORLD is due to be released on Monday, October 3rd in Europe and the following day in North America. The album is available to pre-order now on CD, as well as on iTunes with two exclusive bonus tracks.
