Full UK and Eire headline tour as part of a European tour February/March/April 2018.

British rock and rollers THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT's third studio album, 'A Deeper Cut', has blasted in the UK charts this week.  The album has officially entered at No. 6 in the official UK Albums chart.  The band also entered at No. 1 in the Indie chart, No. 1 in the Rock chart and No. 1 in the Vinyl chart.

"A massive and humbling moment for us..." comments guitarist Paul Sayer.  "Our new album 'A Deeper Cut' has charted at number 6 in the UK album charts in its week of release. #1 in Rock, #1 in Indie, #1 in Vinyl.  Thank you to everyone involved, and above all our amazing fans for their support!"

The chart placings are extraordinary as this comes during the week of the Brit Awards where, traditionally, Brit-nominated artists dominate the album chart Top 10.

The album is the highest ever album chart debut for Earache Records (RIVAL SONS, BLACKBERRY SMOKE) in their 33 year history.

The band have also released an exclusive live performance video of album track "Caught in the Middle", taken from a recent YouTube session.  Watch the video now here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TP2UJ8qsgU>.

Following a whirlwind few years in which they released multiple Top 20 albums, toured around the world and shared the stage with rock megastars THE ROLLING STONES, THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT are finally back, having been hard at work behind the scenes preparing for an even bigger year in 2018.  The band's new album, 'A Deeper Cut', features 12 brand new songs which draw on the band's recent experiences and showcase their ever-improving songwriting abilities.

"This is my favourite record we've made so far and I'm more excited about getting this out there than I have been about any of the previous albums," states guitarist Paul Sayer.  "I feel like we've really captured what the band is about on this one; I can't wait for people to hear it and I can't wait to get out on the road and play it live to everyone."

'A Deeper Cut' is available now on limited edition signed digipak CD, regular digipak CD, vinyl, and digital formats here <http://smarturl.it/TTM-A-Deeper-Cut>.

They previously released video for lead single "Everything Is Alright".  "It's nice getting your hands dirty once in a while.  The video was a quite enjoyable and painless experience, other than getting smashed in the face with tomatoes.  Thank you to our director Colin and his crew for the outstanding work and fun day." says frontman Brett.

Watch the "Everything Is Alright" video here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U72R_TOGan0>.

THE GLORIOUS SONS might be new to a UK audience, but the band has earned over 10 million streams in the US and Canada of previous record 'The Union'.  Those songs spent a combined 79 weeks in the top 10, producing 7 consecutive top 10 rock singles and earning the band the title of Most-Played Artist on Canadian Rock Radio.  They played over 350 shows in support, were named SiriusXM Indie Award Winners for "Group of the Year" and "Rock Group of the Year", and earned a Juno nomination for "Rock Album of the Year".

Led by brothers Brett (vocals) and Jay Emmons (guitar), THE GLORIOUS SONS have returned with new single "Everything Is Alright" (which you can listen to here <http://smarturl.it/TGSeia>) and a much-anticipated new album, 'Young Beauties and Fools'.  The album is available here <http://smarturl.it/TGSYBAF-Euro>.

The album is about the adventures (and frequent misadventures) of main songwriter Brett in the truest form.  It's also an album where THE GLORIOUS SONS - rounded out by Chris Koster (guitar), Adam Paquette (drums) and Chris Huot (bass) - capture all the listlessness and confusion of young adulthood over the course of 10 stunning tracks.  "It's basically the story of a 24-year-old kid," says Brett.  "They're simple songs about alcoholism and the mostly autobiographical story of my life.  The whole thing is derived from the thoughts, actions and feelings of a kid who doesn't really know himself and the consequences of those actions."

Whether it's the rock 'n' roll bender "My Poor Heart", the not-so-classic boy-meets-girl story of "Josie", or the deeply embarrassing punch-up at a wedding tale "Everything Is Alright", Brett's songwriting deftly explores the imperfect humanity of both himself and the many characters he introduces over the course of the album.

It wasn't easy to capture that realness.  The band wanted to range further, to grow and evolve from the successes of 'The Union' but eighteen months of recording didn't yield the results they were looking for.  It wasn't until they headed to Los Angeles to work with production team Fast Friends (Frederik Thaae, Ryan Spraker, Tom Peyton) and started exploring a collection of old voice memos on Brett's phone that they had their eureka moment.  The subsequent creative outburst resulted in an album written in 12 days and recorded in 14.

"It was our first itme working with these guys in the studio and we were still kinda feeling each other out," says Brett.  "There were times when it almost felt like a blind date.  And we had been in the studio with a couple of other producers prior to that and went home empty handed.  So after a few lukewarm conversations about ideas, I said to them, 'Boys, can I show you something?'  I took out my iPhone and played 'Josie' and they just went fucking nuts.  They wanted us to challenge ourselves as players and songwriters and pushed me to write from personal experience.  After that, the hardest part of recording was choosing which songs to keep for the album.  I'm forever grateful to them for teaching me to trust myself as a writer and help find that voice."

'Young Beauties and Fools' is out today on Earache Records in Europe and Japan.

BOOMTOWN ANNOUNCE LINEUP FOR NEW VENUE 'THE EARACHE FACTORY'

Boomtown Fair (60,000 capacity) continue the mission of getting their full district lineups out to the world following on from the initial release which revealed GORILLAZ, DIE ANTWOORD and LIMP BIZKIT, among the 200 strong artists on the first announcement.  Now it's time for the first (of many) brand new districts for the Chapter 10 celebrations, in the form of the dedicated punk, metal and ska district, Diss-order Alley, which is all set to debut at the festival this year over the 9th-12th August at the Matterley Estate near Winchester.

All new for this year, one of the most respected and longest-standing independent labels in the UK, Earache Records, will be curating their very own venue - The Earache Factory, located in the heart of Diss-order Alley.  The monster lineup will feature some of the best in metal, punk, rock, grindcore, stoner and psych, ranging from world-renowned legends to the hottest new heavy bands on the scene.  Acts include Max Cavalera's heavy-as-fuck Brazilian tribal metal band SOULFLY, the mind-bending grindcore godfathers NAPALM DEATH, New Jersey's wild political hip-hop punk duo HO99O9, straight-edge vegan cult favourites EARTH CRISIS, and angry anti-austerity Bristolian punk out IDLES.

SOULFLY (Max Cavalera's heavy-as-fuck Brazilian tribal metal)
NAPALM DEATH (The godfathers of grindcore)
IDLES (Angy anti-austerity Bristol punk)
HO99O9 (Wild political hip-hop punk)
EARTH CRISIS (Straight-edge vegan hardcore)
HACKTIVIST (British rap metal)
FEED THE RHINO (Ferocious UK hardcore)
CONAN (Scouse stoner doom)
TURBOWOLF (Psych hard rock)
ESKIMO CALLBOY (German electro-metal)
HAGGARD CAT (Fiery garage punk rock feat. ex-members of HECK)
SAMSARA BLUES EXPERIMENT (Trippy experimental psych stoner rock)
CHURCH OF THE COSMIC SKULL (7-piece psychedelic cult seeking to free mankind from material possessions and unify all beings into a singular cosmic whole)
MASSIVE WAGONS (No-nonsense Northern hard rock)
VODUN (Like Aretha fronting ROYAL BLOOD after imbibing ayahuasca)
+ more TBA!

Lak Mitchell, Boomtown Founder, comments: "We're seriously excited about expanding on the heavy live music side of the festival... The first event I ever put on was a heavy metal gig when I was 16 and have been in various thrash/punk/metal bands ever since, so to represent such an amazing musical culture within the context of Boomtown is insanely exciting and I can't wait to see where this takes us."

Boomtown's multidimensional world not only provides some of the best in underground and global music but incorporates it with some of the most unexpected and immersive theatre.  As part of Boomtown's ever-evolving storyline, Diss-order Alley is themed around a military base that has been abandoned and overtaken by an autonomous community of punks.  Attendees are encouraged to embrace their inner characters and immerse themselves in the intricately designed venues populated by walkabout performers weaving their way through the city's streets.

The Earache Factory is a new 600 capacity venue curated by the legendary Earache Records.  One of the most respected and longest standing independent record labels in the UK, Earache has issued over 600 releases since its inception in 1987 and built its reputation on extreme music and a punk attitude.

Last summer, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the label, Earache was invited to curate the first ever "heavy" music stage at Glastonbury Festival called 'The Earache Express', which resulted in an unforgettable culture shock as NAPALM DEATH annihilated a curious Shangri La crown on the Thursday night amongst a raft of other hard-hitting punk, metal and rock acts throughout the weekend.

Earache Records' Head of Live Music, Tom Hadfield comments: "Boomtown Fair is one of the most unique and thriving festivals in the UK and it's a privilege to be a part of it for Chapter 10.  Much like Earache Records, Boomtown is fiercely independent and we respect that enormously.  We are on a mission to bring heavy music to the masses and big credit goes to everyone at Boomtown for welcoming us with open arms.  All the bands we have booked are heavy in one way or another, but a common theme is that they are all bands with a purpose, bands that mean something and bands that are fighting for positive change in this world.  Bring your earplugs."

Boomtown Fair Chapter 10 will take place at Matterley Estate just outside Winchester from August 9th to August 12th, 2018.

HAGGARD CAT RELEASE NEW SONG "BONE SHAKER" WITH MUSIC VIDEO

Taken from their forthcoming album 'Challenger'
Due out 20th April on Earache Records
Tour supporting FEED THE RHINO kicks off next week

HAGGARD CAT have revealed a new song "Bone Shaker" from their forthcoming 'Challenger' album with a typically innovative new video to go alongside.  The album is set for release 20th April via Earache Records and is available to pre-order here <http://smarturl.it/Haggard-Cat>.

Watch "Bone Shaker" here <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVCzqcrjXh8>.

"The video for 'Bone Shaker' was inspired by Japanese Kabuki Theatre," says vocalist/guitarist Matt Reynolds.  "We found footage of a crazy Japanese gameshow where contestants would act out given scenes using mime.  We completely underestimated how much effort, coordination and timing goes into the art.  Every prop you see in the video is homemade by us and everything that happens we acted out with a group of friends in one room.  It seemed like an accurate representation of how we function as a band so we persevered and the result is 'Bone Shaker'.  Also we get eaten by a monster that we later explode, because we got carried away."

HAGGARD CAT is a duo that also features Tom Marsh on drums.  You may recognise them and their propensity for chaos from the acclaimed UK hardcore band HECK.  Taking the same attitude and fire that has pushed HECK's name far and wide, HAGGARD CAT aim to convey the exact same passion they are now known for in an entirely new way.

"The Patriot" and "American Graffiti" were the first tasters to be released from 'Challenger'.  The tracks have already enjoyed national airplay on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show and BBC Introducing, as well as playlisting at Kerrang! TV.

HAGGARD CAT originally formed as a means to play as many gigs as the duo humanly could without the restraints of exclusivity thrust upon them as part of the highly acclaimed HECK.  Originally intended as a sideline, the project has now evolved into its own beast that the pair have decided to fully unleash upon an unsuspecting public.

In 2017 HAGGARD CAT toured with the likes of Jamie Lenman, DZ DEATHRAYS and WEIRDS as well as playing a headline slot at Camden Rocks and opening the main stage at ArcTanGent festival.  This year sees them tour with FEED THE RHINO (from next week), plus they've been announced on the lineup for Boomtown Fair.

THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT RELEASE "ANOTHER SPIRAL" TRACK; NEW ALBUM 'A DEEPER CUT' OUT NEXT WEEK

British rock and rollers THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT have released a brand new song, just a week before the release of their eagerly anticipated new album, 'A Deeper Cut'.

Listen to the hauntingly beautiful "Another Spiral" now on YouTube here <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwpikW0BIC0> or on Spotify here <https://open.spotify.com/album/3hmtLaGJCfJzYN6eyu9Dpi>.

Following on from the unprecedented success of THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT's 2013 self-titled debut, which stormed the UK Albums chart, and its follow-up 'White Bear', which went straight to number one in the UK Rock chart, 'A Deeper Cut' is without doubt the band's finest output to date.

Due to be released on February 16th, 'A Deeper Cut' is still available to pre-order on limited edition signed CD, with just a few copies remaining for those quick enough!  The album is also available on regular CD and vinyl along with a selection of merch bundles.  Reserve your copy here <http://www.earache.com/ttm>.

'A Deeper Cut' is also available to pre-order on iTunes, including an instant download of "Another Spiral", along with "Caught in the Middle", "Built-In Forgetter" and the album's title track.  Pre-order the album now on iTunes here <http://bit.ly/adeepercut-itunes>.
