AKERCOCKE UNLEASH THE ANTICHRIST

AKERCOCKE UNLEASH THE ANTICHRIST

UK demoniacs AKERCOCKE have completed their controversial headline tour, and
have released their latest opus 'Antichrist' this week.

Despite problems in Northern Ireland in the wake of their appearance on the
'Nolan Live' show, the band completed all dates and enthralled fans by
playing new material from the album in advance of release.

Frontman Jason Mendonca reflects on the tour and the controversy:

"A huge thank you to all the brothers and sisters who came out and supported
the UK tour. The excursion with comrades Cephalic Carnage, Ted Maul and
Burning Skies was a resounding success. It was an honour to play to so many
enthusiastic fans - thank you all. The Dublin and Belfast shows were superb,
despite the threat of adversity from certain establishments."

'Antichirst' was released on Monday, including a limited edition version
with 2 bonus songs in a deluxe super jewel case.

Mendonca continues:

"Thank you to all the true Akercocke fans who went out and bought Antichrist
this week instead of downloading illegal poor quality MP3's. It's your
support that enables us to continue the project and make further albums.
Until next time.........."

The band are lining up more live performances with details to be revealed
shortly. Akercocke's new video for the track 'Axiom' will also be available
to view imminently.

Biomechanical Set To Mix ΠCannibalised=?ISO-8859-1?B?uSA=?=With Chris Tsangarides

Biomechanical Set To Mix ‘Cannibalised’ With Chris Tsangarides

Epic Progressive Metallers Biomechanical are scheduled to begin the mixing process of their new album ‘Cannibalised’ with legendary producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy) on the 18th of June. The band will enter the Ecology Rooms in Kent, England to begin work on the brand new epic slated for a September 17th release date.

Front man, John had the following to say on the collaboration:
“This is the second time we will be working with the legendary Chris Tsangarides!
We have had several discussions about the direction of the sound and I feel that he is the one to create the sound I have in my head as a producer. Also even though Chris is very much a modern producer he can bring old school sensibilities on the sound front and this excites the hell out of me!! I honestly can't wait to get started!
To get to Cannibalised we looked back to our previews albums and made sure that the Biomechanical sound wouldn't evaporate on a firewall of heaviness. Cannibalised is heavier than our other albums but at the same time melodic and does incorporate the film scoring orchestral type of work that defines the sound of our band”.

The full track listing for Cannibalised is as follows:

1) Fallen in Fear
2) The Unseen
3) Cannibalised
4) Breathing Silence
5) Predatory
6) Slow the Poison
7) Consumed
8) Reborn in Damnation
9) Through Hatred Arise
10) Violent Descent

Also catch Biomechanical on tour in July with the mighty Sikth and Architects at the following venues:

07.07.07 UK LONDON Islington Academy
08.07.07 UK BRIGHTON Concorde 2
14.07.07 UK GLASGOW Garage
15.07.07 UK MANCHESTER Academy

22.07.07 UK SHEFFIELD Corporation

Earache To Release BRING ME THE HORIZON Debut In USA

Earache To Release BRING ME THE HORIZON Debut In USA

Earache Records Inc, is pleased to announce the conclusion of a North American licensing deal of a British band that is not afraid to go beyond the expectations of a modern extreme metal act. Then again, this is no ordinary modern metal act. This is Bring Me The Horizon.

In the seemingly short span of 3 years since their formation, Bring Me The
Horizon has accomplished more in that time than most bands do in 10. In
2006, Bring Me The Horizon was the recipient of a KERRANG! Award for “Best
British Newcomer” and held steady on MySpace’s top 100 list of most played
bands, currently boasting a playcount of 4.2 Million plays. Bring Me The Horizon were only 1 of 2 UK acts to chart in the MySpace top 100 (the other
being Coldplay). In addition, they’ve toured with bands such as Bleeding
Through and Killswitch Engage and performed a show-stealing set at the UK's
Download Festival.

Garnering much attention and acclaim for their UK and online exploits,
Bring Me The Horizon is now ready to make waves stateside with their
debut album, ‘Count Your Blessings’ being released on August 14th on Earache. Known for their technically beautiful, yet honestly brutal sound, the band’s widespread appeal has been swelling to a point of no return.

Bring Me The Horizon is being licensed to Earache through their UK home label Visible Noise and they could not be more thrilled about the deal. Julie Weir, the A&R director of Visible Noise says, “Bring Me The Horizon are an extreme and incendiary band, and where better for them to be released
in the US than through the home of extreme music!!”
Earache Records US Label Head, Al Dawson believes that the band’s future now burns
even brighter; “We are overjoyed to be given the opportunity to work with Bring Me The Horizon – They are one of the most talented extreme bands to come out of England in the last few years.”

It is only a matter of time until Bring Me The Horizon ushers in the New Era of British Extreme Music.

AKERCOCKE SHOOT VIDEO FOR "AXIOM" WITH HSI LONDON

AKERCOCKE SHOOT VIDEO FOR "AXIO
M" WITH HSI LONDON

On Monday May 14th, sharp suited metal maestros Akercocke arrived at Wilton’s Music Hall in London to begin shooting their video for the brand new track "Axiom", lifted from the stunning new album ‘Antichrist’. The shoot was undertaken by highly acclaimed promo clip company HSI (responsible for classic clips by Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, Coheed And Cambria, etc).

The video was directed by Erica Herbert. She specializes in a dark, elegant style of imagery that compliments the band perfectly. With a mixture of band performance and storyline in the form of 2 beautiful seductive girls dressing & undressing one another, the viewer will witness a clever twist in the normal performance alongside storyline format.

Front man, Jason Mendonca had the following to say about the shoot: “The new video for "Axiom" promises to be a tremendously surreal work indeed. Erica Herbert’s dreamlike direction and Schwanmeir-esque approach should make for a unique and beautiful visual outing”

Follow this link to view some photos from the shoot: http://www.earache.com/internal/akervideo

The video will soon be ready to view on most major music channels.

'Antichrist' is released in UK on May 28th and USA on July 17th.

Akercocke to play Belfast tonight despite protests

Akercocke to play Belfast tonight despite protests

Akercocke will play Belfast tonight despite protests from Christian groups
and a strong police presence at the Belfast show.
The impending release of UK death metal country gents Akercocke's
latest album "Antichrist" caused so much uproar amongst Northern Ireland¹s
religious community that the band appeared on BBC Northern Ireland on
Wednesday night.
`Nolan Live' is BBC Northern Ireland's flagship topical affairs series.
It is presented by double Royal Television Society Award winner Stephen
Nolan, who also hosts a daily radio show on BBC Radio Ulster and a
weekend slot on BBC Five Live.
See: www.bbc.co.uk/ni/nolan
As the title suggests, the programme is a late-night 60 minute LIVE
programme, transmitted on BBC Northern Ireland television from 2240-2340
on a Wednesday night (also available on digital television). It is
totally interactive thereby allowing viewers to e-mail, text and call
the show LIVE - they will also be able to pose questions to Stephen and
the studio guests.
Audiences took advantage of the communication channels on Wednesday night to
air a variety of views:
" How do they know the Antichrist likes that kind of music? ... We dont
dont need religion, religion has caused more harm than good ... There's
enough antichrists in Belfast ... Stormont is full of weirdos like those
2. ... Was that singer on the right bitten by the wolf ... It
They dont look evil. Just stupid. ... Satan suckz God rulez ... I
say welcome the band here. They rule!! ... Is 666 under their hair?
... How do you even know what they are saying?? ... Who cares? Its
what they believe. ... The problem is the 2 in front of you.
Christians brain washers ... Its only theatrics, catch a grip! ...
The God Squad want to ban anything they don't agree with ... Get Uri to
bend their drum sticks. ... For gods sake let them sing. At the end of
the day people don't need music 2turn away from god ... COME ON NI
STAND UP AGAINST THIS EVIL INVASION. PROTECT OUR LAND. ... That music
is rubbish, it should be banned. ... If your religions strong enough
shouldn''t matter. its music, Peace! ..."

The programme consistently tops the ratings in Northern Ireland, achieving
massive viewing figures.
The overtly satanic content contained within "Antichrist" and the bands
previous albums specifically "Rape of the bastard Nazerene" has come under
attack by religious forces, leading to the band's vocalist Jason Mendonca
and drummer David Gray having a head- to-head live TV debate that aired on
BBC1¹s ŒNolan Live¹ show.
VIEW a clip of Wednesday night's show on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl9oM4f1xdQ

According to sources in Belfast, there are Christian protestors outside the
venue now and police are demanding to see Akercocke lyrics before letting
them go on stage tonight.
The band are determined to play and tickets for shows are now limited as the
Irish metal community responds with support for Akercocke.

The band also guested on Steven Nolans BBC radio show the next morning

Akercocke's Antichrist sparks religious debate on BBC TV TONIGHT

The upcoming release of UK death metal giants Akercocke’s latest album Antichrist has caused uproar amongst Northern Ireland’s religious community, and is set to be the subject of a major religious debate live on BBC1 Northern Ireland.

Akercocke 'Antichrist' album banned by US pressing plant

Akercocke 'Antichrist' album banned by US pressing plant

The forthcoming album from Akercocke, abruptly titled ‘Antichrist’, has run into more controversy. The provocative nature of the record has already led to problems in Ireland, where the band will take part in a live discussion on the ‘Nolan Live’ show on BBC1 Northern Ireland next Wednesday at 10.45pm with members of the Irish Catholic clergy.

Now the album has run into problems in the US, where the pressing plant handling the production of the album, Disc USA, has refused to handle the record due its ‘anti-Christian’ perspective.

Commenting on the decision, Akercocke frontman Jason Mendonca stated:

“I rather perturbed that in this day and age, the 21st Century, people are so uptight.
Whatever happened to freedom of speech and freedom of expression in the alleged democracy of the USA?
Censorship is always ugly no matter how you view it. It smacks of fascism to me.”

“What other works of art are barred to the good people of America?
The attitude of the printers is typical of the brainwashed. Judging something (literally) by its cover.
Anyone who took the time to look into our history would recognise that we have always stated we are anything but anti-christian.
It's divisive attitudes such as this that bring about conflict. Conflict through ignorance.”

Akercocke’s ‘Antichrist’ is currently set for May 28 release in UK/Europe, with an American release due on July 17.

EVILE update and photos from studio

EVILE update and Photos from Recording studio

Fast-rising Yorkshire thrashers EVILE began the process of recording their debut album with producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA, MORBID ANGEL) at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. Check out pictures from the studio at the Evile myspace page. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Man against Machine" and "Burned Alive".

The album will be completed sometime in June for an August 27 release on Earache Records.

EVILE formed three years ago in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, U.K. by brothers Matt Drake (vocals/guitar) and Ol Drake (lead guitar), along with Ben Carter (drums) and Mike Alexander (bass) and has since rapidly picked up a rabid following, eager to enjoy a night of heads-down, no-nonsense thrash.

While unsigned, EVILE were hand-picked to play two prestigious U.K. festivals in the summer of 2006 — Bloodstock Open Air and most recently, Damnation Festival — both to great acclaim from fans.

Akercocke's Antichrist sparks religious debate on BBC TV

The upcoming release of UK death metal giants Akercocke's latest album 'Antichrist' has caused uproar amongst Northern Ireland's religious community, and is set to be the subject of a major religious debate live on BBC1 Northern Ireland.

The overtly satanic content contained within 'Antichrist' has come under attack by religious forces, leading to the band's vocalist Jason Mendonca facing a head- to-head live TV debate that will air on BBC1's 'Nolan Live' show. The debate will be broadcast live via satellite link at 10.45pm on BBC Northern Ireland following Akercocke's gig on May 16th at Nottingham's Rock City. This meeting of minds is sure to stir waves of controversy ahead of their show in Belfast on May 18th and Dublin on May 19th, and with the 'Antichrist' misson statement in full force, Akercocke are sure to voice their closely held satanic beliefs.

To find out more about 'Antichrist' and to listen exclusively to the track 'Summon The Antichrist' that has ignited this controversy, head over to www.myspace.com/akercockeantichrist.

'Antichrist' is released in the UK on Earache Records on Monday May 28th (UK) and July 17th (USA)

Stephen Nolan's show can be viewed online at www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/nolan/

Evile begin pre-production process for debut album 'Enter The Grave'

Fast-rising Yorkshire Thrashers Evile began the process of recording their
debut album with producer Flemming Rasmussen at their Huddersfield rehearsal
space over the past weekend. Under the watchful guidance of the famed
producer, the final 10 songs selected for the debut were intensively
discussed, arranged and rehearsed. Some brand new songs were aired, namely - "Man
against Machine" and "Burned Alive" amongst others.
The full tracklisting will be announced shortly.

Guitarist Ol Drake had this to say about working with the great producer:

"It was an amazing experience to meet such an important guy who played a huge part in the history and evolution of metal.

Not only is he an awesome and down to earth guy, he really fucking knows what he's talking about.
We all already have a great feeling about how the debut's going to turn out with his input alone!"

After Sunday’s successful pre-production session the band headed down to London to play a live instore at Tottenham Court Road’s Fopp!. The band Thrashed through a tight set of material to great response - Flemming had the chance to see what the band can do live and further gain a feel for the music due to be recorded in May.

The album is to be recorded at Rasmussen's Sweet Silence Studios in
Copenhagen during May-June, and is due for release on Earache on August
27th.
