Washington D.C. trap artist ALIREZA has released a brand new single, "Doomed", accompanied by powerful visuals confronting depression, mental health and social media addiction.  The track is taken from his forthcoming debut album 'Endlyss', out April 12th on Earache Records.

"Doomed is about the state of the world.  The state of the people who deal with all the problems listed in the song," comments ALIREZA.  "The first line is a pretty straightforward line about Mac Miller.  I feel like we've lost so much as a generation and a culture to drugs and violence but it's way different than the '80s or '90s; this is a whole new problem in general.  Thy Art Is Murder also inspired me to make this song because of how they wrote 'They Will Know Another'.  The honesty and stance of that song made me want to write a version where a rapper is taking that stance, observing a dying world that he lives in.  Whether he lives there willingly or unwillingly is up to the listener."

Listen to "Doomed" now exclusively on SoundCloud here <> and watch the powerful animated video for the song here <>.  Piecing together award-winning animations from British artist Steve Cutts, the visuals paint a bleak reflection of humanity in 2019, highlighting issues such as the rising number of suicides amongst young men, mental health issues, the prescription drug epidemic, social media addiction, and the futile rat race of capitalism and greed.

"Doomed" will also be available on all other major digital platforms from tomorrow - Friday, March 29th.

Fans in New York recently got to see ALIREZA performing a blistering live set at the Kingsland in Brooklyn, attended by an enthusiastic crowd made up of both rap and metal fans, exemplifying the bridge ALIREZA has created between the two genres.  Don't miss ALIREZA at his other upcoming shows:

Mar. 30 - Washington D.C. - Songbyrd
Apr. 05 - Washington D.C. - Songbyrd (Album Release Show)

A pioneering artist at the forefront of the dark trap genre, ALIREZA combines elements of trap and rap with rock and metal, with influences ranging from XXXTENTACION to BRING ME THE HORIZON.  The multitalented vocalist and guitarist cut his teeth in the all-black DMV metalcore band LOUDER THAN QUIET before making the jump to solo artist, with elements of his wide-ranging tastes evident throughout his debut album 'Endlyss', recorded with producer Jason Rich (LIL PEEP, LIL XAN).

Pre-order 'Endlyss' now on CD and digital download here <>.

Dan Tobin - Earache Records

Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Earache Records are pleased to announced the worldwide signing of Nashville-based rock 'n' roll act GOODBYE JUNE.

Having recently completed a full European tour in support of friends and fellow hard rockers GRETA VAN FLEET, the band is currently holed up in the studio in Nashville recording brand new songs for an album which will come out globally on Earache in August.

GOODBYE JUNE are three cousins formed after the death of guitarist Tyler Baker's brother in June (hence the band name), vowing to honour his memory with their soulful and life-affirming sound.  Having parted ways with major label Interscope after the release of their debut album 'Magic Valley' (2017), GOODBYE JUNE's earthy, authentic sound continued to flourish and develop with the release of the 'Secrets in the Sunset' EP - a set of songs rich in texture, soul and bluesy atmosphere.

Watch the official music videos for "Oh No" <> and "Daisy" <> now.

Fusing hard rock licks with deep southern blues and gospel swing - in part influenced by the band's strict Pentecostal Church upbringing (a way of life they scorned for a career in rock 'n' roll) - the sound competes sonically with the new wave of hard rock acts like GRETA VAN FLEET, while adding layers of colour which reference a wide spectrum, from LED ZEPPELIN to KINGS OF LEON.

Prior to the release of their Earache debut, the band will keep itself busy on the road continuing to spread the word in the only way a real rock 'n' roll band can - live on stage.
