NEW TRAP ARTIST ALIREZA RELEASES "NEVER SEEN" SINGLE ON REVOLVER
A pioneering artist at the forefront of the dark trap genre, ALIREZA combines elements of trap and rap with rock and metal, with influences ranging from XXXTENTACION to BRING ME THE HORIZON. Following a recent performance at Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn, (curated in part by TYLER, THE CREATOR), ALIREZA has been in the studio with producer Jason Rich (LIL PEEP, LIL XAN) working on his debut album 'Endlyss', which is due for release in 2019 on Earache Records.
"I don't think they're ready for what I'm about to do to the world," comments ALIREZA. "Maybe the world isn't ready, honestly. I'm technically the first hip-hop signee on this huge metal label, but I find my way leaning in a lot of genres all at once so I'm excited to show it all."
After making the jump from his metalcore band LOUDER THAN QUIET to a solo hip-hop/trap artist, ALIREZA is now ready to take on the world with his debut single "Never Seen", which has premiered on Revolver here <https://www.revolvermag.com/music/hear-earache-alireza-new-song-never-seen> and is available now on all major streaming platforms.
"It's rare you see a guy in a band that can bar out," continues ALIREZA. "And even more rare to see a guy who can bar out but still be talking about something with substance. That's literally what I was aiming for with this first single. Setting the tone so you don't think I'm just some random trap metal artist, and giving you real hip-hop, unadulterated bars. The video alluded to gentrification [the renovating of deteriorated urban neighbourhoods, raising property values and often displacing low-income residents] in a very indirect way but that's exactly how it takes over so I don't think there's a way more fitting to show you what's going on."

HAGGARD CAT RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR "GOLDBERG"
WATCH HERE <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoxZPap2lLA>
From this year's 'Challenger' album, out now <http://webstore.earache.com/haggard-cat> on Earache Records
UK tour kicked off this week
"greasy slide guitar, filthy riffs and stupidly addictive grooves that make standing still a physical impossibility." - Metal Hammer
"this debut hits you with an ear-damaging line of fuzz, with riffs so dirty you'd be forgiven for thinking they'd just done a Tough Mudder course." - Kerrang! KKKK
"a high-calibre duo" - Total Guitar ****
"a captivating new force in British rock." - Upset Magazine ****
HAGGARD CAT have spent most of their year on the road or at festivals (or playing on top of shipping containers at festivals <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6Xg0CBsz_A>). Now Halloween sees the band head off on another UK stint, playing 14 shows across the UK and Ireland as part of the Upset Magazine 'About to Break' tour with DRONES, BITCH FALCON and INTECHNICOLOUR.
The Nottingham duo's riff-heavy rock and roll was unleashed in the form of their album 'Challenger' earlier this year. "Goldberg" is one of its songs and the band have this week released a music video for the track <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoxZPap2lLA>. Vocalist and guitarist Matt Reynolds says, "With this clip we wanted to try and visually recreate the head-spinning sound of the track's weird mismatching time signatures and dreamy vocals. To get the final effect we ended up hand-building a room within a room and cramming in as many references to the band's life over the last couple of years as we could. I also think this feels like a good, natural way to tie together everything we've achieved so far with 'Challenger'. There are quite a few references to our other videos in there that are fun to try and spot too."
This is a timely release for HAGGARD CAT as they have just kicked off another tour and "Goldberg" is inherently about the toll touring can take. "'Goldberg' is a very personal song to us," says Reynolds. "The lyrics deal with how touring and expectation cause deterioration of mental health and how our perception of ourselves on the road can lead to toxic behaviour. Although this might sound quite reflective, it's actually a very positive song about being more self-aware and pulling through to the other side."
HAGGARD CAT (whose lineup is completed by drummer Tom Marsh) have a history of crafting creative, DIY music videos, as evidenced by other visual offerings from the 'Challenger' album - "Bone Shaker" <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVCzqcrjXh8>, "American Graffiti" <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJtDu2wtAIo> and "The Patriot" <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCzm0xPR8jg>. These killer tracks have enjoyed national airplay on BBC Radio 1's Rock Show and BBC Introducing, as well as playlisting at Kerrang! TV.
