SSS will make the UK feel its fury this summer for a big string of dates that include a gig at the Dry Dock Festival in Leeds, several shows with fellow thrashers, MUNICIPAL WASTE and one very special show where the 3 new kings of thrash, SSS, MUNICIPAL WASTE and EVILE will join together to claim their rightful place at the throne. charismatic and fun-filled branding, S.S.S have made the vinyl available in
ten different colours, which are sure to become collectors' items in the

Ephel Duath bring the sunshine at Hellfest
Ephel Duath the Italian Jazz-Prog metal 3 piece brought the sunshine at last
weekend's Hellfest during what was elsewhere a weekend of heavy rain and mud
at the festival in Clisson, France.
Hellfest organiser, Ben Barbaud, a self confessed fan of Ephel Duath was
impressed with the new 3 piece set up as were the 5000 strong french crowd.

Talking recently about old bassist Fabio's departure, guitarist Davide said:
" We asked Fabio to leave the band before our May UK tour. We have reached
the
maximum of our artistic capacities with him and although we will always
cherish the memories shared with him, but it is time for us to move on. We
will not look for a substitute and will continue as a trio, for a sole
experimental choice. We believe we will gain something out of this loss.
Right now we are working hard on the new album, a concept called "Through My
Dog's Eyes" and will be recorded beginning of next year. We'll announce the
name of our kick-ass producer soon as well as the one of artist who will
take care of the artwork. We are beyond excited at the idea of going back to
the studio. "
Ephel Duath release the anticipated "PAIN REMIXES THE KNOWN" on 23rd July on

NAPALM DEATH – CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF ‘SCUM’
Today marks the release of ‘SCUM: 20th Anniversary Edition,’ EARACHE RECORDS’ celebration of NAPALM DEATH’s landmark release, ‘SCUM.’ Just as raw and explosive today as it ever was upon its release 20 years ago, ‘SCUM’ has been universally hailed as a groundbreaking album and the place where grindcore was unleashed upon the masses.
‘SCUM: 20th Anniversary Edition’ is a limited edition dual disc CD/DVD containing the original album and a documentary highlighting the early days of the band and examining the story behind the album and its explosive impact on the wider music scene. The "Pain remixes the known" album is a remix album of "Pain necessary to know" which came out in 2006.
Guitarist Davide explains
" The way we designed the previous album, Pain Necessary to Know, left room
for a lot of new interpretations, or remixes as is the case here. The
initial idea came from Earache's Dan Tobin, and it seduced us straight away.
We were on tour at the time and therefore had enough spare time on the road
to discuss about all this and we all arrived to the conclusion that slowing
down the BPM of PNTK to a dubbish rythm would be a slight risk that had the
potential to become a thrilling experience."
He continues
" Two years ago ambient-dub guru Eraldo Bernocchi contacted us just to
congratulate us for our work and ended up inviting us to dinner. Eraldo is a
guitar player, producer and electronic musician. He's got more than 20 years
of musical career and 75 full lenght albums spanning many different audio
and visual projects with artists and musicians from all over the world. Some
of his partners and collaborators are Bill Laswell, Mick Harris, Toshinori
Kondo, Thomas Fehlmann, DJ Disk and Harold Budd. He scored various
soundtracks, just to mention a few "Nirvana" and "Denti" of the Oscar Prize
winner Gabriele Salvatores. Among his remixes he counts Almamegretta, Prince
Paul/Jungle Brothers, WordSound, Robert Miles, AFA, The Maldoror Project and
many others ranging from dub to metal and drum and bass. A brilliant artist
basically. So Lucio and I went to Tuscany where he lives and a lot of ideas
regarding possible collaboration came up that night. After a few months
Eraldo asked us to compose a song with him for the 20th anniversary of his
band Sigillum S. The song came out real Pink Floydish, with spoken words as
well as the typical Ephel Duath appeal added to the ambiant guitar of
Eraldo. Some time went by and our friendship developed, and at some point
Dan Tobin's idea for the remix album came up and we immediately thought of
Eraldo.
The whole album, Pain Remixes the Known, has been composed by Eraldo in his
home studio called The Place with the help of collaborator and singer
Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari."
"An Ephel Duath fan knows that the band is shapeless. We think that PRTK is
an extremely important experiment that can help the band widen the scope of
its fanbase and can surprise whoever is used to our sound. Just listen to it

Controversial UK dark art practitioners Akercocke have posted an advance
sample of their promo video ŒAxiom¹ at the following location

On the 14th of May sharp suited metal maestros Akercocke arrived at Wilton¹s
Music Hall in London to shoot a new video for the brand new track ŒAxiom¹,
lifted from the stunning new album ŒAntichrist¹. The shoot was undertaken by
highly acclaimed film company HSI (Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, Coheed And
Cambria).
With a concept based around semi-erotic scene in which the band play out the
song from within the clothing of a pair of voluptuous females, the video
highlights the best elements of the bands music as well as adding a
distinctly Akercocke-esque visual approach.
ŒAxiom¹ is taken from the album ŒAntichrist¹ which was released this week in
Europe, featuring a strictly limited edition version in a super-jewel case
with 2 bonus tracks.
The video will be ready after June 15th to view on most major music
channels.
