BLACKBERRY SMOKE ANNOUNCE OCTOBER UK TOUR

Hotly-tipped southern rock outfit, BLACKBERRY SMOKE have confirmed a string of UK shows for this Autumn.

The Atlanta-based outfit unleashed their UK debut album, 'The Whippoorwill' in February, gatecrashing the UK album chart at #30 and selling out their first UK tour even with a string of upgraded venues.

The Guardian gave the album four out of five stars, and The Times similarly rated the live show, observing that the five-piece "brought a little bit of Georgia sunshine to a rainy night in London".  With both Classic Rock and MOJO magazines tipping the band for the top in 2014, tickets for these new shows are sure to be snapped up fast.

The new dates rack up as follows:

Wed 15th Oct - DUBLIN Academy
Thu 16th Oct - GLASGOW O2 ABC
Fri 17th Oct - MANCHESTER Ritz
Sun 19th Oct - LONDON O2 Shepherds Bush Empire
Tue 21st Oct - CAMBRIDGE Junction
Wed 22nd Oct - BIRMINGHAM Institute

Tickets go on pre-sale at 9am Wednesday 2nd April at http://blackberrysmoke.seetickets.com and on general sale from 9am Friday 4th April over at http://www.livenation.co.uk

Vocalist and guitarist, Charlie Starr enthuses, "Our last European tour was just too damn short, so we can't wait to come back and play for the people who couldn't make it to the last shows."  Guitarist Paul Jackson underlines that, stating; "We had a blast in Europe on the last tour and can't wait to head back over for the Fall run.  The country and people were amazing and beautiful. So much excitement and great getting to hang and shake hands with everyone."

The UK edition of 'The Whippoorwill' album features three extra bonus tracks and can be picked up over at iTunes - http://bit.ly/bbsitunes.  Various special edition bundles are available from http://www.earache.com/bbs, including a selection of different coloured vinyl and an ultra-rare collector's wooden box-set that includes white vinyl signed by the band, a t-shirt and Blackberry Smoke shot glasses and playing cards.
