Fiery garage rock duo HAGGARD CAT have today dropped their scathing new punk rock video for "American Graffiti" and it doesn't disappoint.
Frontman Matt Reynolds comments:
"American Graffiti is written about knowing something is wrong and choosing to do nothing about it. We exist in a time where we have the benefit of hindsight into what happens when we harbour certain toxic views and allow these principles to govern our society.
"Instances have been allowed to escalate throughout history and with all the knowledge right at our fingertips and more accessible than ever, we are still part of a world where segregation, division and hate not only exist but are entertained by an apparent majority. Common sense is stamped out by the loudest voice and replaced with greed. Mistakes will be repeated and a permanent mark left.
"American Graffiti is about those people that have let it happen, or worse encouraged it to, and think they can simply delete it from their conscience."

BLACKBERRY SMOKE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'FIND A LIGHT', RELEASING 6TH APRIL 2018

Self-produced by the Atlanta-based five-piece, 'Find A Light' features 13 new songs written/co-written by frontman and guitarist Charlie Starr. About the collection, Starr tells us, "The new album is a melting pot of BLACKBERRY SMOKE music with a wide range of sound and emotion. I think it's our most inspired work yet." BITERS ANNOUNCE U.S. TOUR DATES
Atlanta's rock 'n' roll punks BITERS have announced a string of US tour dates in support of their new album, 'The Future Ain't What It Used to Be'.
Kicking off with a "Better Late Than Never!" album release show in the band's hometown of Atlanta, the tour then heads to Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, before the band sets sail from Louisiana to Mexico aboard the KISS Kruise alongside EXTREME, STEEL PANTHER, and of course KISS themselves. BITERS frontman Tuk tells us about how "Stone Cold Love" came to be; "I sat down with my buddy Scott (Stevens) to write a tune. We sat for hours trying to come up with something that felt perfect, but were hitting a dead end. We said 'fuck it' and went to his local hang out, ate some cornbread, drank a few beers and talked about music. We spoke about T. Rex, Queen and Slade, shit like that, how cool those big drum grooves were. Right then a light bulb went off and we headed back to the studio with a fresh start and within hours finished writing the song, demoed it and tracked lead vocals! I was so fucking delirious I couldn't tell if it was good or not. A few weeks later, Scott sent me the finished demo while I was on tour in Kansas. I remember cranking it in the van outside of this fake old wild west town and thinking, 'Goddamn, this is so good!'"

BITERS frontman Tuk tells us about how "Stone Cold Love" came to be; "I sat down with my buddy Scott (Stevens) to write a tune. We sat for hours trying to come up with something that felt perfect, but were hitting a dead end. We said 'fuck it' and went to his local hang out, ate some cornbread, drank a few beers and talked about music. We spoke about T. Rex, Queen and Slade, shit like that, how cool those big drum grooves were. Right then a light bulb went off and we headed back to the studio with a fresh start and within hours finished writing the song, demoed it and tracked lead vocals! I was so fucking delirious I couldn't tell if it was good or not. A few weeks later, Scott sent me the finished demo while I was on tour in Kansas. I remember cranking it in the van outside of this fake old wild west town and thinking, 'Goddamn, this is so good!'"

WAKRAT CELEBRATE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENT NATION 'REPUBLIC OF WAKRAT'
Punk rock trio WAKRAT are celebrating the first anniversary of their very own independent nation, the Republic of Wakrat, which was formed to "throw a wrench in the establishment" and to offer an alternative to people who have become disillusioned with corrupt and elitist governments around the world.
A year ago today, the band - featuring vocalist/bassist Tim Commerford (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AUDIOSLAVE, PROPHETS OF RAGE) along with guitarist Laurent Grangeon and drummer Mathias Wakrat - rolled into London's Parliament Square in an iconic red double-decker bus decorated with the words #GenerationFucked, arriving to a legion of fans, media and bewildered tourists. The group generated headlines around the world as they led a protest through the streets of London, declaring a brand new micronation in an audacious effort to expose the failings of the current political system.
Explaining the legality of the daring manoeuvre on their website, the band highlight an ancient loophole which they say gave them the authority to start the Republic of Wakrat on what was known as Parliament Square - actually an island called Thorney Island - which was originally the property of King Offa back in the 700s. According to WAKRAT, the land has never officially been claimed by anyone else: "this area remains the property of King Offa, Mercian King under his charter which is in [Westminster] Abbey."

EARACHE RECORDS CELEBRATES 30 YEARS WITH FULL DYNAMIC RANGE VINYL REISSUES
Famed for pioneering the underdog genre of extreme music in the late '80s and '90s, Earache Records over the course of the last 30 years has issued some 600+ releases and helped to provide careers for genre-leading names such as NAPALM DEATH, MORBID ANGEL, CARCASS, ENTOMBED, SLEEP, AT THE GATES, BOLT THROWER, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, BRING ME THE HORIZON and countless others.
The concept of extreme music isn't the only facet to Earache Records that it has pioneered however... the concept of FDR (Full Dynamic Range) vinyl pressings has revolutionised the way music fans can enjoy their favourite metal albums.
During the heyday of many classic Earache bands' careers, the trend at the time was to make recordings as loud as possible for the fans. Dubbed "The Loudness Wars", this was a concept much of the music industry adhered to in the '90s. Unfortunately, many did not realise that by increasing the loudness of studio recordings, this often had a detrimental effect on the overall sound quality. To achieve super-high volume, the sound waves were compressed against the "audible ceiling", often limiting the difference between the peak and average levels in the music. This meant that the disparity between the loud and quieter elements in the recording (known as the "dynamic range") is significantly reduced.
Earache's idea of "Full Dynamic Range" vinyl reissues is to counteract the "Loudness War" and ensure that fans hear the music as it was intended to sound - pure and organic audio pressed straight to 180-gram vinyl from the original studio analogue or DAT tapes, many of which were stored for 20+ years. This concept is not designed for the casual music fan who might only listen to albums on their phone or iPod, but the real music enthusiasts who like to put a record on a turntable, sit back and absorb the sound waves at the optimal quality, experiencing the warmth and depth to the music as it was originally intended; the instruments leap out of the speakers.
Over recent years, Earache has reissued much of its catalogue on FDR vinyl for the first time. Whether it's the meaty riffs in MORBID ANGEL's 'Altars of Madness' or the all-encompassing stoner sludge of SLEEP's 'Holy Mountain', the difference in quality and depth of these FDR reissues is obvious to even the average music fan.

THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT ANNOUNCE NOVEMBER UK TOUR
British rock and rollers THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT have announced a back-to-the-roots UK tour, which is due to kick off on November 6th in Chester.
Following a whirlwind few years in which the band released two Top 20 albums, toured around the world and shared the stage with rock megastars such as THE ROLLING STONES, THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT have decided to reconnect with their home audience with an exclusive run of dates around the UK, where they'll be playing in smaller venues than usual in order to create a more intimate experience for both band and fans alike.
The band will also be reaching parts of the country they haven't been to for some time and will be treating fans to brand new music as they continue to work on the follow-up to 2016's 'White Bear'.
THE TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT guitarist Paul Sayer comments:
"This tour is all about us getting out in the UK and connecting with those fans all over the country that helped us build the band. It's about getting up close and personal with those guys. We've got loads of new material to play as well as there's nowhere better than a sweaty club to road test some new music! Can't bloody wait..."

EARACHE EXPRESS ROLLS INTO GLASTONBURY FOR WEEKEND OF PUNK AND METAL
The Earache Express has rolled into Glastonbury, providing attendees of one of the world's largest festivals with its first ever stage dedicated solely to extreme music.
The new venue is housed in a recycled London Underground tube carriage situated in the south east corner of the Shangri-La area and is curated by the legendary British independent label, Earache Records.
Designed to provide a place for like-minded souls to congregate, as well as for those who just want to experience a different side of music than is typically offered at the festival, the Earache Express demonstrates that metal and punk has something to say, showcasing bands with heartfelt and strongly-held beliefs and all with something to debate - loudly.
The Earache Express is running from 9pm to 6am daily, and is hosting the likes of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, Singaporean grindcore trio WORMROT, and former frontman for punk revolutionaries CRASS, Steve Ignorant. Punk legends DEAD KENNEDYS and grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH are also appearing as part of the lineup on the Truth Stage, which sits right next to the Earache Express in Shangri-La.

The new venue is housed in a recycled London Underground tube carriage situated in the south east corner of the Shangri-La area and is curated by the legendary British independent label, Earache Records.
Designed to provide a place for like-minded souls to congregate, as well as for those who just want to experience a different side of music than is typically offered at the festival, the Earache Express demonstrates that metal and punk has something to say, showcasing bands with heartfelt and strongly-held beliefs and all with something to debate - loudly.
The Earache Express is running from 9pm to 6am daily, and is hosting the likes of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, Singaporean grindcore trio WORMROT, and former frontman for punk revolutionaries CRASS, Steve Ignorant. Punk legends DEAD KENNEDYS and grindcore pioneers NAPALM DEATH are also appearing as part of the lineup on the Truth Stage, which sits right next to the Earache Express in Shangri-La.

BLACKBERRY SMOKE RELEASE "LIKE AN ARROW" MUSIC VIDEO
Atlanta southern rockers BLACKBERRY SMOKE have released a brand new music video for the title track of their recent album, 'Like an Arrow'.
Released in October of last year, 'Like an Arrow' landed in charts around the world upon its release, including a Top 10 position in the UK and a Top 20 in the USA. The album also took the top spot in the UK Rock, Americana and Indie charts, as well as the US Country and Americana charts. The band recently wrapped up a European headlining tour in Europe with support from labelmates and fellow Atlanta natives BITERS.
The video for "Like an Arrow" was directed by Jamie Burton Chamberlin (ZZ TOP, SAMMY HAGAR, SLASH) of Black Dahlia Films, who also directed BLACKBERRY SMOKE's "Sunrise in Texas" video.

'Like an Arrow' was recorded and mixed by Billy Joe Bowers at The Quarry Recording Studio in Kenneshaw, Georgia and was produced by the band. The album features 12 tracks including a collaboration with the late Gregg Allman on the album's closer, "Free on the Wing".

PUNK LEGENDS AND EXTREMITY! GLASTONBURY ANNOUNCES FULL LINEUP FOR EARACHE EXPRESS
Last night Glastonbury announced a historical sea change in its lineup traditions as for the first time they will have a stage dedicated to punk and extreme bands.
Artists appearing across the weekend include punk legends from DEAD KENNEDYS, SEX PISTOLS and CRASS to Muslim Singaporean grindcore trio WORMROT, Earache icons NAPALM DEATH and EXTREME NOISE TERROR and modern underground bands such as HO99O9, HECK, HACKTIVIST, PETROL GIRLS and PUPPY.
The new venue, which is making its debut at the Glastonbury 2017 festival, is housed in a recycled London Underground tube carriage located at Shangri-La in the south east corner and is curated by the legendary British independent label, Earache Records.
Designed to provide a place for like-minded souls to congregate, the Earache Express demonstrates that metal and punk has something to say, showcasing bands with heartfelt and strongly held beliefs and all with something to debate - loudly.
With the entire stage decorated with though-provoking art from Turner-nominated artist Mark Titchner, the space encourages the open-minded, the free-spirited and the socially aware to embrace the sharper end of heavy music in all its forms.
Earache Records, celebrating 30 years of pioneering metal/punk this summer, created the extreme metal scene, launching bands such as NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS, GODFLESH, BRING ME THE HORIZON (USA), CLUTCH, SLEEP and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.

BITERS UNVEIL OFFICIAL "STONE COLD LOVE" MUSIC VIDEO
Atlanta's rock n' roll punks BITERS, whose new studio album, 'The Future Ain't What It Used to Be' was released Friday, have unveiled a brand new video for lead single, "Stone Cold Love". Watch the clip, directed by longtime collaborator Video Rahim, here - http://youtu.be/slBjGh00Yec
BITERS recently returned home after blazing a trail across the UK and Europe with their electrifying live shows. Their 24-date tour supporting labelmates BLACKBERRY SMOKE saw them playing to over 50,000 music fans, including a date at London's iconic Roundhouse.
BITERS frontman Tuk tells us about how "Stone Cold Love" came to be; "I sat down with my buddy Scott (Stevens) to write a tune. We sat for hours trying to come up with something that felt perfect, but were hitting a dead end. We said 'fuck it' and went to his local hang out, ate some cornbread, drank a few beers and talked about music. We spoke about T. Rex, Queen and Slade, shit like that, how cool those big drum grooves were. Right then a light bulb went off and we headed back to the studio with a fresh start and within hours finished writing the song, demoed it and tracked lead vocals! I was so fucking delirious I couldn't tell if it was good or not. A few weeks later, Scott sent me the finished demo while I was on tour in Kansas. I remember cranking it in the van outside of this fake old wild west town and thinking, 'Goddamn, this is so good!'"
