EVILE - GUITAR WORLD'S CASE ON BEING "THE NEXT METALLICA"

After the 2007 release of EVILE's debut album, ENTER THE GRAVE,
comparisons to old school METALLICA were abound. Between the raging
riffage and the production by Flemming Rasmussen, there are many who
have made the case for why EVILE have picked up where METALLICA left
off after their early heyday. In their December 2008 issue, Guitar
World makes the case for EARACHE's very own UK megathrashers, EVILE to
be "The Next METALLICA," saying that the band has "lots of Eighties
METALLICA pulsing through its blackened veins" before adding;
"Guitarists (and brothers) Matt and Ol Drake can shred - perhaps even
better than SLAYER - and they're skilled at creating tension with
rhythms that build, then explode before settling into mosh-friendly
midsections."

See what else Guitar World has to say on why EVILE can be "The Next
METALLICA" in the December 2008 issue, featuring 2 special covers with
METALLICA's James Hetfield and Kirk Hammet.

Relive the return of heads-down, no-nonsense thrash metal with the

Widely regarded as the hardest song to play on Rock Band, EVILE'S
signature song, "Thrasher" is one of
the tracks featured as downloadable content in the Earache Thrash
Pack, which also includes tracks from AT THE GATES and THE HAUNTED,
available now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

UK thrashers EVILE have played some big stages in front of big crowds,
but
now you can watch as they tackle one of the biggest challenges of their
career - trying not to fail at their own song in the hit HARMONIX
video game ROCK BAND. Will they be victorious or will they fall prey
to to the toughest song Rock Band has to offer - their own song - and
fail as so many others have done before them? The only way to find out
is to watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tu5eoFwwKI

EVILE recently completed filming for their first ever music video for
the
song "Thrasher". Filmed in South London with producer DAN FERNBACH
(BULLET
FOR MY VALENTINE, KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES) of STATIC FILMS, the "Thrasher"
video shows the band doing what they do best - putting on a display of
pure,
raw thrash! Check out some exclusive photos from the shoot at
