MUNICIPAL WASTE & TROMA RELEASE 80s CULT HORROR STYLE CLIP 'HEADBANGER FACE RIP' ONLINE TO VIEW NOW
Fresh from watching Virginian crossover-thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE wreak carnage at this summer's European festivals, fans can now exclusively catch a glimpse of the new video for the track 'Headbanger Face Rip' online now. The track, taken from the latest release 'The Art Of Partying' was filmed by the legendary 80s cult splatter/horror independent film company Troma Entertainment and features such Troma characters as the Toxic Avenger and Kabukiman.
Prepare to be 'Tromatised' all over again here:
TV Version : www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSXCogYvQlw
OVER 18: Gore Version : www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLpY3Qt-tek
The video features on YouTube in two separate versions, which include a TV-friendly version and Troma's genre-defining, all-out gore-tastic take on 'Headbanger Face Rip', which involves blood, guts and the legendary Troma-style shlock horror effects. ONLY over 18s can check out the Gore version, as its sure to be banned soon.
Founded by Lloyd Kaufman in 1974, Troma are famed worldwide for their genre-defining B-movie style shock flicks, that specialise in graphic violence, political satire and a bizarre sense of humour. Having produced classics such as "The Toxic Avenger", "Class Of Nuke Em High" and "Sgt Kabukiman, NYPD", Troma's splatter-style visuals fit perfectly alongside Municipal Waste's colourful, high-energy Thrash assault.
Speaking about Troma's take on 'Headbanger Face Rip', Municipal Waste bassist LandPhil states:
"I am fucking stoked on the great job that TROMA has done on Headbanger Face Rip!! I think that it has a little something for everyone out there that likes to party - Gore,Tits and the fucking waste!"
Troma's Lloyd Kaufman has commented upon the partnership between the Richmond thrashers and Troma's unique style, stating:
"It seems fitting that Municipal Waste would ask the Troma Team to make a video for 'Headbanger Face Rip', as we've been ripping faces off on film for over 30 years!".
Municipal Waste 'The Art Of Partying' is out now everywhere.

EVILE THRASH IT UP AT VIRGIN MEGASTORE IN-STORE SHOW
To commemorate the release of their debut album 'Enter The Grave' in the UK/Europe on Monday August 27, Yorkshire thrashers EVILE played a frenetic in-store gig in Manchester's Virgin Megastore to hoardes of chanting, thrash-hungry fans. Speaking about the chaos that they caused in the store, Evile guitarist Ol Drake has stated:
"It was killer playing to all those Thrashers in a store setting. People didn't seem to care that they were in a record store. It was just a plain old Metal show. Circle Pits, Moshing, head-banging galore. We Thrashed the shit out of the Verging Megawhores. We want to say a huge cheers to all the people who came down to Thrash with us, and a huge cheers to all at Virgin Megastores Manchester (Arndale) and Lucy Holliday".

EVILE 'Enter The Grave' and BLOOD RED THRONE 'Come Death' OUT NOW!
This week sees the release of two blistering new releases from Earache death-metallers Blood Red Throne and fast-rising Yorkshire thrashers Evile. The abruptly titled 'Come Death' from Norway's Blood Red Throne offers a dense and unrelenting death-metal sound, which has been described as as 'A solid nod to death metal's old school' (Kerrang!).
Also out this week is the debut release 'Enter The Grave' from Huddersfield thrashers Evile, who are leading the current UK New Thrash Wave. Produced by the legendary Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica), this hotly anticipated release displays a fresh take on an authentic thrash-metal sound. Summed up by Kerrang! magazine as 'Charged like a battery with the raucous fury of The Haunted at their most savage, honed on a steady diet of early Slayer, Sacred Reich and Nuclear Assault, produced by the hand that ushered in Metallica's 'Master Of Puppets' and 'Ride The Lightening', and distilled through that all-important filter of fresh-faced energy and aggression, 'Enter The Grave' is an absolute hair-swirling, air-punching beast'.
Both of these releases can be ordered online from the Earache webstore now by clicking the links below. All orders of 'Enter The Grave' from the Earache webstore receive a free, exclusive Evile 7-inch. New t-shirts from both bands can also be ordered from these locations:

EVILE GIVE INSIGHT INTO WORKING WITH METALLICA PRODUCER FLEMMING RASMUSSEN
With the upcoming release of their debut album 'Enter The Grave' on Monday, Evile have revealed what it was like to work with the legendary Flemming Rasmussen. Evile guitarist Ol Drake has given an insight into their time in the studio and explains the impact that the famed Metallica producer had on them and also the effect that the band had on him:
"We made an old school thrasher feel young again, which to me shows us we're on the right track. If we can add to a Thrasher's collection, we're happy. That's what we want to do, give people some extra thrash action. We're not trying to be the Next Big anything, we just want to Thrash."
Working with such an influential figure within the thrash genre was understandably daunting for the fresh, fast-rising Yorkshire thrashers, but the guitarist admits that it turned out to be a comfortable working environment in the studio, Ol states:
"It was excellent working with Flemming. I admit his involvement with Metallica was slightly daunting but once we were in there he made us feel so at home and relaxed that it didn't matter anymore. He's just a really cool, easy to get along with guy. We couldn't be anymore pleased with how the album's turned out. Flemming's involvement has made it the best it can be. I think an important factor which added to the album's overall sound was the use of no samples on the album. We've always been against this modern, processed, mechanical sound, we wanted it to sound 'live'. Kick drums have balls, and you want to hear and feel ...those......balls. Flemming is the Man!!"
Fans can finally get their hands on this hotly anticipated release in UK/Europe on August 27 and September 25th in USA. View a video of the the band in the studio at www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t_alnxMbh8. To hear some advance tracks head over to www.myspace.com/evileuk.

EVILE GUITARIST COMMENTS ON POSITIVE 'ENTER THE GRAVE' REVIEWS
With the release of the hotly anticipated thrash offering 'Enter The Grave' only a week away, Evile guitarist Ol Drake has aired his excitement about the positive reviews that have been circulating recently. The album has received an encouraging 10/10 and a highly positive 100/100 in online reviews:
Metal Mayhem 10/10:
www.metal-mayhem.co.uk/reviews/evile.html
Metal Revolution 100/100:
www.metal-revolution.com/plugins/content/content.php?content.854
Such early praise for their debut has prompted Ol to speak about the hard work that the fast rising Huddersfield thrashers have put into achieving such success with their debut:
"The reviews we've got through so far really make us proud of the amount of work we put into making this album what it is. In a way it feels to have 'paid off' if someone enjoys it in the ways the recent reviewers enjoyed it"
Ol admits that the process was not always a harmonious experience and reveals that:
"It shows that hard work really gets results. We put in as much time as we could on each song to get it as perfect as we could in our ears. I think the fact that we argue over writing gets results. If one person wasn't happy with what we were doing we'd work on it until all 4 of us were happy. I think that gives us a good sound, with all 4 of us putting hard work in. Some bands work better with one master-mind, we don't".
It appears that working with such precision and intensity alongside the legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) has helped to catapult Evile to the front of the new breed of thrash metal. UK and European fans only have 7 days to judge for themselves- 'Enter The Grave' is released by Earache Records on August 27th, (Sept 25th in USA) to pre-order the album click earacheshop.com/store/evile.html, all pre-orders will receive an exclusive Evile red 7inch including 2 non album tracks.
To hear 3 advance tracks from the album and see footage of the band in Sweet Silence studios with Flemming Rasmussen at the helm, head over to www.myspace.com/evileuk.

S.S.S TAKE UK THRASH TO THE MASSES AT LONDON'S 5000 CAPACITY BRIXTON ACADEMY
Fresh from playing a sell-out gig with US thrashers MUNICIPAL WASTE at the the London Underworld on Friday, S.S.S are set to take their underground thrash sound straight to one of the city's largest venues. On October 3rd the Merseyside crossover thrashers will play their largest show to date by supporting KILLSWITCH ENGAGE at London's Brixton Academy. This news comes just as a wave of excitement surrounding the thrash scene in the UK has escalated, following the release of S.S.S's 'Short Sharp Shock' in June, and the hotly anticipated upcoming release 'Enter The Grave' from Huddersfield thrashers Evile on August 27th.
Speaking about the upcoming gig, S.S.S vocalist Foxy states:
"Reason we are doing this gig is when are we ever likely to step onto a massive stage like that ever again? I dont know how many thrash bands would fill a venue that big. But KSE asked for us and we said yer. Colchester is the day before aswell. Eggs, sweaty socks, used undies and pigs heads will delicately flutter down on the crowd. We playing london on 13th oct aswell. Venue TBC.
Rememeber how Send More Paramedics went down when they supported Offspring? They got allsorts lobbed at em. Did em no harm and went down in history for doing it. It will be the crowd that needs a blues brothers chicken net. Not us"
For a taste of what the Brixton Academy can expect, watch 'The Beast' performed live at the Underworld on 10/08/07 here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAlcc9th2Vo

EPHEL DUATH SET TO REPRESENT MOTSTOY FESTIVAL AT NORWEGIAN ROCK UNION
Italian experimental jazz-metallers Ephel Duath have taken on the honour of representing Norwegian metal festival Motstoy at this year's Norwegian Rock Union (NRF) at the venue Betong in Oslo. This year the Norwegian Rock Union is celebrating its 25th anniversary and will see a battle of festivals between Motstoy, Inferno, Hole In The Sky and South Of Heaven. On September 7th, Ephel Duath are proudly taking the responsibility of representing Motstoy and will be up against 1349, Entombed and Iskald in the celebratory battle.
This appearance follows the release of Ephel Duath's album 'Pain Remixes The Known', which reworks and remixes 2005's 'Pain Necessary To Know'. The album has already been met by positive reviews, with leading UK magazine Kerrang! stating 'Ephel Duath have the foundations of a perfect slice of discordant electro dub insanity'.
